A young woman claims her Hinge date vandalised her toilet seat with red lipstick after being asked to leave her house.
Luna Ray, from the US, says the man left a hidden message under the toilet seat warning other potential dates that she’s ‘sleeping with an ex boyfriend’ – but this wasn’t true.
At the time the 23-year-old had no idea what he did and the next day she received a ‘panicked phone call’ from her roommate whose boyfriend found the message.
The text read, ‘She is f***ing her ex, RUN!’ along with his phone number.
In a video Luna can be seen aggressively cleaning to get rid of the lipstick while her friend laughs hysterically.
However, many men on TikTok have seemingly taken the date’s side and thanked him for being a ‘smart guy’ who is ‘looking out for us’.
he also wrote “she is effing her ex” because i tried to spare his feelings by telling him i wasn’t over my ex boyfriend 🙂

In a video gone viral Luna can be seen aggressively cleaning to get rid of the lipstick while her friend laughs hysterically
In the clip she wrote in bold text: ‘Kicked out a Hinge date within 15 minutes of meeting him because bad vibes and he asked to use the bathroom before leaving and used my lipstick to write all over the seat!’
Within just 24 hours the video went viral exceeded 1.6million views and many had something to say about the man’s behaviour.
Luna then provided an explanation in a follow-up video.
‘I invited this guy out to the bar with a group of my friends – I said, ‘Meet at my house and we can all [catch an] Uber together’,’ she said.
‘Immediately he rubs me the wrong way… I don’t know, he just seemed kind of insecure.
‘In order to spare his feelings I make up a story about not being over my ex boyfriend and how I felt uncomfortable going on a Hinge date.’
She then asked him to leave and he asked to use the bathroom before heading out the door.
However, the following day Luna said she received the call from her housemate alerting her about the vandalised toilet seat.
However, other men sided with the Hinge date and described him as a ‘smart guy’ who was ‘looking out for us’
Both videos have attracted thousands of comments and opinions remain divided.
‘I believe him,’ one man commented, another said: ‘Bro was looking out for us, that’s king behaviour.’
‘Homie has our best interest in mind,’ a third added.
Another said: ‘We need his side of the story.’
Someone else asked why Luna invited the man over when she ‘isn’t over the ex’.
