The Maine-based woman, named Veronica, uploaded a clip of herself showing her followers how the product should really be used.

And when a popular account dedicated to ‘sharing tips, tricks, hacks, and products to make your life easier,’ called Hamptons Review Crew, re-posted it earlier this month, it quickly went viral – gaining millions of views and shocking people all across the globe.

‘I was today years old when I realized…’ Veronica wrote in the beginning of the TikTok.

The video began with her fumbling over the products in her shower caddy as they failed to stand up straight on the metal ridges

Very neat! Not sure how it would actually work out though, I forsee a lot of shampoo on the floor… Worth a try or not? @V’ronica #tiktoktaughtmethis #thingsilearnedontiktok #nifty #lifehackstiktok #showerproducts #showertok #shampoohacks #worthatry🤣😅 #followformore👉🏽👉🏽

The video began with Veronica fumbling over the products in her shower caddy as they failed to stand up straight on the metal ridges.

Her shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion kept falling over, leaving Veronica fiercely frustrated.

But then, she unscrewed the top to one, turned it upside down, and stuck it through one of the spaces between the bars, before putting the lid back on.

That held the bottle in place, resulting in it standing up perfectly without tilting or falling.

It made it much easier for her to get some of the contents out of it, and the clip ended with her squeezing some shampoo into her hand.

‘Very neat,’ Hamptons Review Crew captioned its post.

However, the account added that it was ‘not sure how it would actually work out’ because it ‘foresees a lot of shampoo’ spilling onto the floor – since the bottle would temporarily have to be placed upside down without the lid.

The video got more than 3.5 million views, and it launched a major debate among viewers.

While many were in favor of the trick and said it made a lot more sense, others pointed out that it had its downsides.

‘Until you have kids and they forget to lock it,’ one person joked.

‘When you unscrew the cap and turn it upside down, it all comes pouring out,’ someone else said.

‘Then I have to unscrew and shake it to get the amount I need out… added step now,’ pointed out another user.

Others were blown away by the idea, with one branding it as ‘brilliant’ and another simply commenting, ‘WOW.’

‘Mind blown,’ read another comment. A different one said, ‘Genius.’

‘My life is a lie. WTF,’ someone else wrote.

‘Ah stop!’ replied another excited person. ‘It’s my pet peeve, those bottles falling around the place. And this is so simple.’
