ABERDEEN boss Jim Goodwin has been hit with a mammoth EIGHT-MATCH suspension by the SFA after branding Hibs' Ryan Porteous a 'blatant cheat.'
The Pittodrie gaffer was summoned by SFA chiefs for blasting Hibs star Porteous after the sides met last month.
Six games of the suspension will apply immediately – with two games suspended until the end of the current campaign.
Goodwin was left seething by referee David Dickinson's decision to award the Hibees a penalty after Liam Scales was deemed to have brought the Scotland centre-back down.
To compound matters for the Dons, Scales was shown a second yellow card and dismissed.
Martin Boyle slammed in the equaliser from the spot and Hibs went on to win 3-1 at Easter Road.
Fuming Goodwin hit out after the game and accused Porteous of "blatant cheating" and said the 23-year old had been LAUGHING about it.
At the time, he said: “I don’t know what Liam Scales can do when Ryan Porteous grabs him in a headlock and drags him to the ground.
“I don’t know how many times the boy Porteous can get away with that kind of stuff.
“We’re telling our players in midweek to be careful with him in the box, be careful with him at set-plays and don’t touch him as he will go over.

“We showed our players a number of instances when Porteous has won penalties like that in the past.
“People will say he’s good at it and he’s clever. But it’s blatant cheating as far as I’m concerned and it’s cost my team points.
“I told him to his face after the game what I thought of him. I don’t care what he reads in the paper on Sunday and Monday.
“He knows. He’s laughing about it. He celebrates winning penalty-kicks like he’s scored a goal."
The SFA didn't take too kindly to Goodwin's words and he was hauled in front of Hampden chiefs to answer a charge.

Goodwin, 40, was accused of breaching two SFA rules with regards his comments.
He was charged under rules 73 and 77 of the governing body's constitution, jurisdiction which broadly covers offensive and/or insulting statements and being seen to act in the best interests of the game.
