ANTONY is set to miss Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the United States after suffering an ankle injury.
The Brazilian winger was stretchered off in the first half of the Red Devils’ 4-1 victory over Chelsea.
He fell awkwardly after a challenge by Trevoh Chalobah.
The injury is understood to be a recurrence of the problem that kept him out of the final two months of last season at Ajax.
He suffered that injury while on international duty with Brazil in a 4-0 win away to Bolivia on 30th March 2022 which ended his season.
The 23-year-old looked in agony as he hit the turf in the 24th minute on Thursday night, immediately signalling to the bench he had a problem.
