Declan Rice boost?
Manchester City have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Mateo Kovacic amid rumours suggesting they will join the bidding war for West Ham superstar Declan Rice.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, City will pay the Blues £30million.
Personal terms wereagreed two weeks ago as Kovacic only wanted to move to the Etihad.
That could be a boost for Arsenal as the Treble winners got a midfielder and may therefore not be interested in Rice anymore.

Third bid incoming
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Arsenal will make a third bid for West Ham superstar Declan Rice, but they could face competition from Manchester City.
Arsenal are continuing to work on the Declan Rice deal.
They had a bid rejected on Tuesday but they will bid again for sure as he’s their priority target.
We don’t know yet when, but a new bid will be submitted.
West Ham always wanted at least £100m but a lot depends on payment terms and deal structure.
Manchester City are also well informed on the situation, and West Ham expect them to enter the race in the next days.

Arsenal are currently preparing a third bid for West Ham superstar Declan Rice.
That is after the Gunners saw their second £90million offer for Rice rejected.
The two opening proposals have both been under the Hammers' £100million valuation but the next offer is expected to be far closer to the midfielder's release clause.
According to the Mail, the North Londoners are willing to reach that figure.

Adidas stop sale
Adidas have reportedly stopped selling Arsenal's new home jersey after fans spotted a blunder in its design.
The Gunners released their new stunning kit back in May and it was revealed that there would be a hidden nod to the Invincibles from the 2003-2004 campaign.
This was the year the North Londoners managed to win the title without losing a single league game.
The new shirt was set to pay homage to that achievement 20 years on with stitching on the white trim on the side.
The record of 26 wins and 12 draws was supposed to have been stitched into the side of the shirt in the order of each result.
However eagle-eyed supporters spotted that there has been an issue in the design as they think that only 32 of the 38 league results have been featured on the shirt.
Granit Xhaka reminder
Arsenal star Granit Xhaka could be days away from finally joining Bayer Leverkusen.
Xhaka has also been linked with Roma but Jose Mourinho's side looks set to miss out.
That is because it's claimed the midfielder has agreed terms with Leverkusen.
The Switzerland international was crucial during the North Londoners' title bid last season.
Ilkay Gundogan transfer blow
Barcelona could beat Arsenal to Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan in their ongoing transfer war.
Gundogan would rather join Barca than the Gunners, former team Borussia Dortmund or a Saudi Arabian club.
According to Football London, the North Londoners were close to a free-transfer deal for the midfielder who stood out for the Treble winners last season.
But the Blaugrana have overtaken Mikel Arteta’s team in the race for the Germany international.
Havertz personal terms update
Chelsea star Kai Havertz has reportedly agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has been reached between the two parties.
Havertz is said to have been pushing for the move which will end his three-year stay at Stamford Bridge.
The personal terms the versatile forward is set to agree will reportedly see him net a bumper £200,000-a-week contract.
The deal for the Germany international will cost the Gunners around £68million according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg.

"No plan to bid for Romeo Lavia until they get Rice deal sealed."

Havertz first in, Declan second?
Chelsea's Kai Havertz has overtaken Declan Rice as Arsenal’s likeliest summer signing.

Gunners to 'listen to offers for 4 players'
Eddie Nketiah and Thomas Partey are amongst five players Arsenal will consider bids for, reports tonight claim.
Granit Xhaka is seemingly heading for Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer – but the Independent say four other stars could be SOLD.
Nketiah is the closest to a surprise name as the 24-year-old was a star sub as well as a super stand-in for Gabriel Jesus last season.
And Partey was a regular, injuries aside, next to Xhaka in the middle.
Striker Folarin Balogun, a loan sensation for Reims, is being linked with top clubs in Italy like Inter Milan.
And the final name is left-back Kieran Tierney, who has been targeted by Newcastle.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta would be happy to keep the Scotland star.
But Oleksandr Zinchenko is the clear first-choice on the left of defence following a superb debut season after moving from Manchester City along with Jesus.

Gunners 'to seal Rice deal before Romeo decision'
Arsenal will focus on Declan Rice before pondering a bid for Romeo Lavia, according to Fabrizio Romano.
A third Gunners' bid for England midfielder Rice is all but inevitable after West Ham rejected a £90million offer for the skipper.
And transfer expert Romano says, midfield wise, that's where ALL Arsenal's attention for now will be.
He tweeted: "Timing of new bid not clear yet but it’s guaranteed that Arsenal won’t stop on this one. No plan to bid for Roméo Lavia until they get Rice deal sealed."
But as we suggested earlier this evening, there are question marks over whether the Gunners can afford Lavia if as expected they sign Rice and Kai Havertz.

Lavia could be too expensive
Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia might be too costly for Arsenal amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, it's claimed tonight.
It's thought Mauricio Pochettino's Blues have already bid around £50million for the one-cap Belgian, 19.
And journalist Paul Brown has suggested Lavia might be out of the Gunners' range – as they close on Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.
Nonetheless, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has tweeted: "Arsenal have concrete and strong interest in Romeo Lavia.
Relationship is excellent with his camp — talks already took place.
"Timing will be crucial as Chelsea remain interested. Man United appreciate Lavia but still not advancing. City buy back clause only valid 2024."

Kai tipped to beat Rice in
Kai Havertz has overtaken Declan Rice as Arsenal's likeliest summer signing.
That's the common opinion tonight – with Ajax's Jurrien Timber third on the list.
Chelsea's Germany attacker Havertz, rated at £68million, has reportedly agreed a long-term Emirates contract of around £200,000 a week.
In contrast, the Gunners are still negotiating with West Ham after having a club-record second offer of £90million for the England midfielder turned down.

Why Jurri should be in hurry for Emirates
Utrecht assistant boss Urby Emanuelson explained why he reckons the Emirates would be ideal for Jurrien Timber.
The ex-Holland international, 37, told Voetbal Primeur’s #DoneDeal podcast: “In my opinion, he is a very great talent.
“I know that the Timber family is very good at planning the careers of the brothers. On the one hand, I think Jur is ready for the step. On the other hand, if you’ve had a lesser season at Ajax… I find it difficult to advise him.
“I would choose Arsenal. Why? They treat young players very well there. If you see how they deal with Martinelli, Odegaard, Saka … They are all guys who are allowed to make mistakes and are made important at the same time.
“(He) has the potential to become the absolute top. That’s why Arsenal would be a good step. Arsenal is growing, they will build on that.”

I hope Timber falls for Gunners
Jurrien Timber has been urged to join Arsenal over Bayern Munich if Ajax agree to sell the right-back.
Urby Emanuelson, a former midfielder for the Dutch champs, believes the Premier League giants would be the best option for the 22-year-old.
The Gunners are said to have approached Ajax over Holland star Timber last week.
There were even suggestions in his homeland that Arsenal have already reached an agreement.
