ASTON VILLA have agreed a £350,000 deal to sign 16-year-old Rangers and Scotland Youth striker Rory Wilson.
SunSport revealed this week how Steven Gerrard's bid to sign the Glasgow giants' super kid was set to go to Fifa over a row surrounding his amateur status.
However the Ibrox side returned to the negotiating table last night and accepted an improved offer of £350,000.
That fee could rise to £1million – based on Premier League appearances and Scotland caps.
Villa and Gerrard believe that still represents good value for the youngster who scored 49 goals in all competitions last season.
Rangers will also receive 10% of any future transfer fee Villa receive for the talented teenager who scored 8 goals in 11 appearances for Scotland's Under-17's last term.

Wilson will sign for Villa on July 1 in another sign of the Midlands club's desire to attract the cream of Britain's youth talent, as the club continues to grow under billionaire owners Wes Edens and Nassef Sawiris.
An Ibrox source revealed Rangers contacted Villa on Thursday night to resume negotiations after taking legal advice.
They feared they could lose Wilson for as little as £110,000 as Fifa were likely to treat the transfer as a cross-border deal.
That would only have allowed Rangers minimal compensation for the costs they incurred developing the young striker.
