Barcelona slapped with summer transfer ban with LaLiga refusing to let them register players over FFP breaches | The Sun

BARCELONA will not be able to sign any players in the summer transfer window, according to LaLiga president Javier Tebas.

The Spanish giants have spent nearly £150million over the past 12 months on a host of star players including Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Kounde.

But Tebas has now claimed they will be prevented from doing any business in the upcoming window after the club broke rules pertaining to the transfers of minors.

Barcelona have continued to sign players despite an ongoing financial crisis which saw them lose Lionel Messi in 2021.

They acquired a host of free agents in the summer including Marcos Alonso, Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen and Hector Bellerin.

And they were being linked with bringing in the likes of Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan at the end of the season.
