MANCHESTER CITY are taking on Bayern Munich tonight with a huge 3-0 lead in their Champions League quarter-final.
Though City famously conceded in the 90th, 91st and 95th minutes to crash out at the hands of eventual winners Real Madrid in the semi-finals last year, giving the German side some hope going into the second leg.
Real await again in the semi-final this year should City finish the job and progress.
The headline team news is that on loan Joao Cancelo – who was hit with boos last week at the Etihad – starts against his parent club.

Star Man: Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland is looking to add to his incredible goalscoring record in the Champions League and versus Bayern.
The Norwegian has netted 11 goals in seven games in this year's competition, taking his tally to 34 in the Champions League overall.
His record against Bayern is good too, finding the back of the net six times in eight matches.
However, he has lost seven of those meetings with his first win coming last week.

The impossible task?
Manchester City have never had a three-goal lead overturned in the Champions League.
And Bayern have never overturned a three-goal deficit in the competition.
However, anything is possible in the Champions League and Tuchel's side will be hoping for an early goal to get the crowd going.

Mane vs Sane
Sadio Mane is on the bench for Bayern Munich while Leroy Sane starts.
The pair were reportedly involved in an altercation after the 3-0 defeat to City last week and the German winger was punched on the lip by the ex-Liverpool man.
Bayern are supposedly ready to fine Mane a huge £260,000 and some reports saying that his days at the club are numbered.
Sane was spotted leaving a Manchester hotel after the match, covering up his face trying to hide the supposed injury.
He could then be seen with a bruise on his lap at the weekend.

Bayern Munich vs Manchester City
Man City know it would take another dramatic collapse to be dumped out of the Champions League.
The Citizens were famously on the verge of back-to-back finals last year.
However, they somehow conceded in the 90th, 91st and 95th minutes to crash out at the hands of eventual winners Real Madrid in the semi-finals.
This year, they have the 2020 champions Bayern Munich in the tightest of headlocks – and surely will not let another European giant out of their grasp.
City were utterly phenomenal in their emphatic 3-0 win at the Etihad last Tuesday.
Rodri's 27th-minute screamer broke the deadlock in the first leg of this mouth-watering quarter-final and two quick-fire second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland made sure that Pep's men put one foot in the semis.
Bayern under new manager Thomas Tuchel have an awful lot of work to do but City know from the past never to think they're through before the final whistle.
