Bloodied UFC star suffers BROKEN arm and horrific head cut but smiles and brushes it off as 'just a scratch' | The Sun

UFC star Dan Hooker broke his arm and suffered a gruesome cut to his head during a split-decision win over Jalin Turner.

New Zealander Hooker, 33, edged Turner in a brutal war at UFC 290 in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

After having his hand raised, Hooker then shared a picture with Turner as they smiled for the camera.

And the Kiwi, who had a horrible cut above his eye, added the short caption: "Hespec."

Two hours later, Hooker posted on Instagram again, but this time it contained an X-ray.

It clearly showed a break in the fighter's arm, only for him to play it down by saying: "Jus a scratch 😂."

It came after he gave the same three-word answer to Joe Rogan when asked about his arm in the post-fight interview.

Reacting to Hooker's injuries, one fan said: "Damn. You’d never guess you won that fight by this picture. Good work though!!"

Another added: "Tough times don’t last, Dan Hooker does."

While a third responded: "Bro. What a fight. Tough as they come."

And Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg, who is being linked with a fight against Elon Musk, replied to Hooker's post saying: "You're a savage. That was amazing."

After the win, Hooker was not able to do any media as he was taken to hospital for treatment on his injuries.

But the victory means he has now sealed back-to-back wins for the first time since 2020 – following his knockout win over Claudio Puelles in November.

And he did so despite Turner failing to make the 158lb catchweight limit.
