THIS is the shocking moment families narrowly missed death when trucks crashed just yards away from them.

Video shows the chaos during the British Truck Racing Championship at Brands Hatch motor racing circuit in Kent on Sunday.




The clip shows a dozen trucks speeding around a bend of the track before two of the vehicles in the middle of the pack collide.

One of the trucks is then pushed into another, before they speed onto the grass and into a fence just feet from huge crowds gathered to watch the race.

As smoke fills the air, terrified spectators as seen running away from the scene as others watch on in horror.

The race was forced to be abandoned after the horror smash.

Photos of the aftermath show how lucky bystanders were – with the fences erected to protect them completely wiped out.

Shocked witnesses posted videos of the crash to social media.

One person wrote: "Truck Racing at Brands Hatch. Massive crash….

"Seeing it from this angle shows how close some were to the action.

"Thankfully looked like no drivers, marshalls or spectators were seriously injured."

A Brands Hatch spokesperson told The Sun: "The truck crash at Brands Hatch was clearly a dramatic incident.

"However, the safety barriers between the circuit and spectators did their jobs and no injuries resulted."
