THOMAS FRANK has been backed to be the next Manchester United manager.
That's according to music icon Noel Gallagher, who believes the Brentford boss would be the perfect fit at Old Trafford.
The former Oasis member is a die-hard Manchester City fan but was asked for his thoughts on how to fix a turbulent Man Utd.
Gallagher said the problems "come from the top" as he claimed the Glazers "don't love the club" and they need to employ "real football people" to take the Red Devils in the right direction.
On the pitch, pressure is mounting on Erik ten Hag with the club bottom of their Champions League group and sixth in the Premier League after a slow start to the season.
Gallagher tipped Frank to switch clubs should the Dutchman get sacked.

He told talkSPORT: "United, for me, would need to get some people to lower the expectations in the short-term.
"Somebody like Thomas Frank to reshape that club properly from the bottom up.
"There will always be this 'we can afford to buy a Paul Pogba so lets buy him to appease the fans and they'll shut up for six weeks.'
"You've come full circle, United is now like it was before Sir Alex Ferguson.

"I remember United before Ferguson and they were a decent cup team and that was it.

Frank has been Brentford manager since 2018 and guided them to an 11th place finish in the Championship in first season.
After narrowly missing out on promotion in his second, the Bees won the play-offs in 2021 and the club have since established themselves in the top-flight.
The Dane led them to ninth last season and they are currently 11th in the table despite losing key players David Raya to Arsenal and Ivan Toney to a betting ban.
