Chelsea 'consider killing two birds with one stone' with Lukaku swap transfer that would see ex-Arsenal target join | The Sun

CHELSEA are reportedly considering a move that “would kill two birds with one stone” by including Romelu Lukaku in a deal for Dusan Vlahovic.

The Blues are currently undergoing a huge clearout as they look to revamp their squad under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.

One of those that looks likely to be heading out the door is £97.5m striker Lukaku.

The Belgian international, 30, spent last season on loan at Inter Milan and desperately wants to make the switch to the San Siro full-time.

But Chelsea have so far refused Inter’s bid to take the ex-Everton and Manchester United forward on another season-long loan.

Lukaku also has a lucrative move on offer from Saudi Arabia but he has not accepted that either.

Now The Telegraph are claiming that Juventus are keen on signing him as a potential replacement for Dusan Vlahovic.

The 23-year-old Serbian has been a long-term transfer target for Arsenal but now Chelsea could swoop as they are also in the new market for a new striker.

And this fresh report claims that bringing in Vlahovic “and sending Lukaku to Juventus would kill two birds with one stone for Chelsea”.

AC Milan are also believed to be interested but that deal is not “expected to materialise”.

Chelsea had been open to Lukaku coming back to Stamford Bridge and starting afresh under Pochettino.

But the player himself has made it clear that his ambition is to remain in Italy.

Blues chiefs are due to hold further discussions over his future this week.

And this update claims that “there remains acknowledgement on all sides that it would be everybody’s interests” to get things sorted swiftly.

We previously reported how Juventus value Vlahovic at £68m and club chiefs are desperate to sell him this summer.

The striker joined the club in a £62m transfer from Fiorentina in January last year, but he struggled to find his form and scored just ten Serie A goals last term.
