CHELSEA have allegedly ‘contacted’ Tottenham over a potential shock transfer swoop for Harry Kane.
The Tottenham striker overtook Wayne Rooney to become the second-highest Premier League goalscorer last season.
The England captain, who is also our country’s all-time top marksman, has also secured his place as Spurs’ record scorer.
But it has been another year of disappointment for him at club level and he is still yet to win a trophy during his incredible career.
He only has a year left on his contract with Manchester United making him one of their top summer transfer targets.
But we revealed this week that the Red Devils have moved away from their pursuit of Kane as they feel Spurs “never wanted to sell” to them.

Real Madrid have also been linked with an interest in the scoring sensation but now a fresh report has claimed that Chelsea are also on the prowl.
The Athletic states that Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all contacted Spurs regarding a move.
However, the forward has his heart set on staying in the Premier League.
And it adds that Chelsea have enquired about possibly reuniting Kane with his former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who has just taken charge of the Blues.

Any potential deal is expected to be a difficult one to navigate, although Arsenal legend Ian Wright recently stated his belief that Poch could sweet talk Kane into making the switch across the capital.
He told Premier League Productions: “That’s the only thing Tottenham fans wouldn’t be able to deal with, if he went to Chelsea.
“Can you imagine, if Pochettino went to Chelsea, with the young players he has got and the fact that he is so good with that kind of player? That progressive young player.
“When you look at the dressing room he has left, with respect to dealing with Neymar, [Lionel] Messi and [Kylian] Mbappe. The way he can manage that situation, with young players, with Harry Kane and with the players Chelsea have got.
“That’s scary. That could be scary for someone. If he had to sit down with somebody, you probably think Mauricio could tempt him there.
“You are talking about the legacy of Spurs. That’s the thing that would bother him, more than anything. He is loyal. Would he want to go all the way to Manchester (and leave London)?”
Kane was also recently quizzed about Pochettino’s impact on his career during his tenure at Tottenham, to which he said: “Mauricio was an amazing manager for me.
“Great person, great, great coach. He helped me a lot to get to where I am now. So I’m really appreciative of him.
“Everyone has their career, everyone has their future. So all I can say is I wish him all the best. I hope he does well – just obviously not as well as us.”
