JOHN TERRY is on course to run a football club after it emerged the Chelsea legend has signed up for a Fifa diploma.
The former defender appeared set to go into coaching after he announced his retirement in 2018.
But now he looks set to take a very different course after signing up for a Fifa diploma for club executives, according to the Times.
The course is 12 months long and includes modules on things like leadership and sporting strategy.
Terry joins the second edition of Fifa's diploma in club management and he could be taking classes alongside the likes of World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro and ex-Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos, who have also signed up.
He's far from the first high-profile star to turn their hand to executive work.

His former team-mate Juan Mata, Australian legend Tim Cahill and ex-Manchester City captain Fernandinho have all got involved in the upper-tier of club management.
Cahill, who scored 58 goals during his 8 years at Everton, is a board member at the Belgian club K.A.S. Eupen.
He said: "It’s important for me to continue my education with executives that work in football globally and to share our experiences.
"Since retiring, I’ve always wanted to keep on learning, to continue my education and be ready for what comes next, and I believe that being part of the club management diploma will help me out significantly in that process."

Terry has reportedly been overlooked for jobs since starting his coaching career and is now looking for something different.
He spent three years at Aston Villa as assistant coach under Dean Smith before leaving in 2021.
Most recently he has been back at Chelsea to take up a part-time consultancy role in the academy.
As a player Terry spent 22 years at Chelsea and won 17 trophies in that time.
