    Dortmund eye Hudson-Odoi

Borussia Dortmund have reignited their interest in Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The German giants came close to signing the player last summer.

But with the player now asking to leave Stamford Bridge, Dortmund could revisit a deal, according to Sky Sports' Dharmesh.

Premier League clubs are also interested in taking the former England youth star on loan.

    Chelsea Fofana swap deal

That's according to the Express, who claim a potential swap deal could be on the cards.

Tuchel confirms Alonso has asked to leave

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed Marcos Alonso has asked to leave the club with the player set for a move to Barcelona.

Alonso, 31, was left out of the squad for the Everton game at his own request.

Chelsea went on to win their Premier League opener 1-0 thanks to a Jorginho penalty, and £62million new boy Marc Cucurella made his debut.

Tuchel has confirmed Chelsea have agreed to let left-back Alonso leave this summer, with Barca his most likely destination.

He said: "He tries to leave and we agreed to this wish and that’s why it would not have made sense to put him on the pitch today.

"He would have been on the pitch otherwise but I think in this situation it was the right thing to do."

Breaking: Hudson-Odoi tells Chelsea he wants to leave

Callum Hudson-Odoi has informed the club he wants to quit.

The English winger, 21, was considered one of the hottest properties in world football just a few years ago.

Bayern Munich were ready to make him one of their highest-paid players at the age of just 18, but he signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

And now he has told the club he wants an exit, with Southampton reportedly one of the clubs ready to step in and sign the star. Leicester are also interested.

    Tuch of relief

German boss Thomas Tuchel was relieved his side beat Everton after an under-par display at Goodison Park.

Tuchel said: "I could have assumed that we maybe would not be on it with the players coming in late and the pre-season was a bit turbulent.

"Last week in training was very promising and in some situations in the first half.

"In the second half there was simply not enough movement on the ball.

"It was a bit strange game with no rhythm. We dug in and got the clean sheet. Positives and from there we go.

"For us it was a classic 1-0, winning with a Jorginho penalty.

"We know we need to get better but a win helps the most, to be open for improvement and for the atmosphere and spirit."

    Jorg Picked his spot

After sending Jordan Pickford the wrong way at Goodison, match-winner Jorginho was relieved.

He said: "Of course you think about it and work during the week, thinking about what the keeper might do in that moment to try to save it.

"I was thinking a lot and then took the decision – fortunately it was the right decision this time.

"For me a penalty is 70-75 per cent all in the head psychology.

    "Fortunately, today it went well."

    Good morning Chelsea fans

Chelsea kicked their campaign off on the right foot with a 1-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park.

Jorginho netted the winner from the penalty spot during the ninth minute of stoppage time in the first half.

Ben Chilwell earned the spot-kick after he was brought down by Abdoulaye Doucoure inside the Toffees' area in a dramatic encounter.

Summer signings Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly started for the West Londoners whereas Marc Cucurella came off the bench in the second half.

Meanwhile, Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong may leave the Nou Camp by next week.

According to Sport, Chelsea have offered a swap deal including Marcos Alonso and £59million in an attempt to reach an agreement with Barca for De Jong.

The Blues are battling Manchester United for the midfielder after the Red Devils already reached a £72m agreement with Barca, but the Netherlands international does not want to make the switch.

If the Blaugrana accept the West Londoners' offer, the Netherlands international will have to make a decision on his future by next week and possibly move to Stamford Bridge.

And Chelsea players have said their goodbyes to Alonso ahead of his move to Barcelona.

Manager Thomas Tuchel now has both Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell to choose from at left-back – leaving the Spain international out in the cold.

And according to The Mail, the 31-year-old has carried out his farewells to staff at the Blues' Cobham training ground as he bids to seal a transfer this weekend.

A report from 90min claims Barca are "confident" of reaching an agreement for Alonso.

Finally, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has told new owner Todd Boehly to sign Barcelona star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and insists he only wants world class players.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Tuchel wants to add Aubameyang to his squad next, having previously worked with him at Borussia Dortmund.

However, Barca want to keep the former Arsenal star as a back up to Robert Lewandowski.

The Blaugrana would prefer it if ex- United ace Memphis Depay left instead.

    Aubameyang tipped for Chelsea success

Barcelona star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would be a great addition to Chelsea's squad, according to Darren Bent.

Bent told talkSPORT about ex-Arsenal star Aubameyang: "[Aubameyang] would be a good addition to the squad.

"One thing we know about Aubameyang is that when he goes to a new football club he hits the ground running.

"He is someone who knows where the back of the net is. His goal scoring records are fantastic”

    More from Lampard

Everton manager Frank Lampard is "frustrated" with the result but not by his team's performance.

Lampard told Sky Sports: "I’m frustrated maybe but not in terms of our performance because I thought we were really good.

“Defensively, we gave the lads a solid game plan to defend, because Chelsea want to pick you up, pull you apart and play through you but we never allowed them to apart from one tiny moment of concentration; a tiny mistake from us.

"I thought our lads gave everything, so there’s small frustration but purely in terms of the result"

    Frank Lampard reacts

Everton manager Frank Lampard confirmed that Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina sustained a small fracture and ankle injury respectively.

Lampard said: “It feels like it is a small fracture of his [Godfrey's] leg.

“We are assessing that. He will be out for a while,

"Mina is an ankle injury and could be out for a while. When it rains, it pours”

    Thomas Tuchel reacts

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is pleased with the win bit insists the team has to get better.

Tuchel told Sky Sports: “We have struggled to get points here in past seasons.

“Today we have the points and a win is a win. It’s the most important for everything but we have to get better. I could assume that we are on on our highest levels but some of the players came in late and pre-season was a bit turbulent.

“The last week in training was very promising and in some situations through the first half we were quite good. In the second half we had simply not enough movement on the ball and with less movement there were more ball losses.

"It was a bit of a strange second half without the rhythm from our team and the interruptions and in the end there were 10 minutes of extra time. But we hang in there and do what we needed to keep a clean sheet. We need to get better”

    Fan fear in the stands

Everton and Chelsea's Premier League opener was halted due to a medical emergency in the stands at Goodison Park.

The game was reaching the final five minutes of normal time before it was brought to a stop.

After around three minutes, the match resumed in Merseyside and a total of 10 minutes was later added on.

The first-half saw EIGHT extra minutes after Toffees ace Ben Godfrey was stretchered off following an injury.

Everton later tweeted: "We can confirm Ben Godfrey has suffered a lower leg injury and has been taken to hospital.

    "We're all with you, @BenG0dfrey!"

    Blue got this

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has claimed new owner Todd Boehly is "learning on the job" after Gary Neville said the American has been "panicky" with his transfer strategy.

In response to Neville's comments, Tuchel said: "Panicking? No, I would describe it as super hard working and learning while on the job.

"The transfer market is one of the toughest things you can do when you come from the outside but I have nothing but compliments and the biggest respect for Todd.

"I don't know when they sleep, I think maybe they never sleep. We have a very honest, open and direct line of communication and the transfers so far speak for themselves.

"We have a delay, of course. Nobody is guilty for that delay because of the sanctions, which led to the loss of key players"

    Tuchel ‘wants Aubameyang transfer’

Thomas Tuchel has told Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and demanded he only sign world class players.

Chelsea start their season against Everton in Saturday's late kick-off, and have seen a number of new stars come through the door at Stamford Bridge.

But these are still not enough for Tuchel, who has reportedly described his squad as average.

According to Florian Plettenberg, the German coach wants to add Aubameyang to his squad next, having previously worked with him while at Borussia Dortmund.

However, Barcelona want to keep the former Arsenal man as a top back up to Lewandowski, with them preferring Memphis Depay to leave instead.

Aubameyang joined the club on a free transfer in January, scoring 13 times in 23 games.
