Conor McGregor has defended Anthony Joshua’s post-fight speech after the Brit went on a bizarre ramble after his loss to Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua stormed out of the ring after his split decision defeat against Usyk in a match he was determined to win, after throwing two belts out the ring and confronting his opponent.
The 32-year-old then grabbed the microphone before delivering a speech that has been poorly received by many, speaking about his journey and the ongoing war on Ukraine after telling Usyk “I’m talking” when the champion tried to take his Ukrainian flag back from Joshua.
McGregor, though, has defended Joshua, claiming it was ‘a great speech’ and ‘if they [Usyk’s team] wanted the mic they could’ve tried get it back.’

But after the result was announced, Joshua grew angry and seemed to clash with a member of Usyk’s team, before storming out the ring.
