CHELSEA are favourites to complete a deal for Cristiano Ronaldo in January.
That's according to bookmakers Betfair as the Portuguese international's very public troubles continue to rumble on at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo, 37, was banished from Manchester United's first-team squad for refusing to come on as a substitute in the closing stages of the Tottenham match.
He was omitted for the trip to Chelsea over the weekend, and found himself training on his own for three days.
The forward finished last season as United's top goalscorer and perhaps their most influential player.
But he's started just THREE top-flight fixtures under Ten Hag, and completed only ONE 90-minute clash against Brentford in August.
Ronaldo, who recently notched the 700th club goal of his career, made it clear that he wanted to leave over the summer to join a Champions League club.

He stayed put with United seemingly eager to retain his services, but reports and his actions suggest he wants a permanent departure in January.
Should United give the green light, Chelsea are favourites at 4/1.
Blues owner Todd Boehly and Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes are known to have held transfer discussions in June, but Thomas Tuchel vetoed the deal.
Now, with Graham Potter in charge, Betfair believe a the move could be reignited, especially given Chelsea's eagerness to bolster their attacking options.
Roma, managed by Jose Mourinho, are next in the betting market at 5/1, ahead of a return to his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon at 15/2.
Any Saudi Arabian club and any MLS club are offered at 9/1 and 10/1 respectively, while he's 12/1 to join the Portuguese contingent at Wolves.
