Darts prodigy Luke Littler averaged a tournament record 117.88 as he claimed victory at the MODUS Super Series.
The 16-year-old whitewashed Andy Baetens on Saturday (July 1) night, having previously lost to the Belgian three times in the group stage earlier in the week.
He smashed the all-time average record of the weekly tournament, which is held in Portsmouth, by eight points in the final to be crowned Week Eight champion.
The highly-rated youngster, who's being tipped for big things in the sport, was hailed for his performance on social media. Fellow pro Matthew Edgar led the praise.

He tweeted: "A rare talent this lad." One fan posted: "Every time this lad is asked a question, he finds the answers and more. Take a bow @LukeTheNuke180."
A second echoed: "What a performance, what a player! More than anything else, when you ask a question of Luke Littler, he answers it like that."
"16 years young, the darts world is at his feet," commented a third, with a fourth writing: "SCARY how good this kid is. Hopefully he stays grounded and is around for many years. Massive shades of MVG."

Speaking post-match, Littler said: "[It] feels amazing, obviously I’m back at Champions Week but felt good in the semi-final, slowed my throw down a bit and just done what I’ve done."
Reacting to his average, he added: "It’s what I’ve done, obviously I didn’t miss much. Obviously I've hit the 13 and double 16 into two then I've broke the average, but I’m in Champions Week again."
