Darts have been left bamboozled by a "miracle maximum" that saw Thomas Junghans nail a 180 with a massive stroke of luck.
Junghans had hit two treble 20s after stepping up to the oche, and he looked on course for maximum with his third dart. However, the third dart initially bounced out, seemingly denying him the maximum. But it somehow then bounched back up, sinking in the treble 20 to earn the Swiss-German star the maximum.
He was awarded the 180, and his opponent Tommy Lishman was quick to offer his congratulations. But darts fans on social media have been left baffled as to what actually happened in the play.
"I’ve watched this maybe 10 times and I’m still asking myself, what did I just watch," one fan questioned. While a second added: "Mine would bounce back to my feet, I would never have this kind of luck!"

"I wouldn't believe it but I saw it with my own eyes! That was wild," a third added. While a fourth tweeted: "I watched the game, it was so freaky how that happened, but it ends up a 180!"
"Not every day you see this," a fifth said. And another added: "You can't only watch this once…"

The two players had clashed in the Modus Super Series, and the miracle maximum was about as good as it got for Junghans – who only claimed one leg throughout the tie.
Lishman taught him a darts lesson, winning 4-1 in their Group C clash. The Englishman had already shown off some innovative darts of his own during the tournament.
Lishman was looking to check out on 120, but when he boxed off the treble 20 he changed tactic, nailing a treble 12 before hitting a double 12.
