Dele Alli ‘BANISHED from Besiktas matchday squad and told to watch from the stands’ until return to Everton | The Sun

DELE ALLI has allegedly been banished from the Besiktas matchday squad and told to watch the rest of the season from the stands.

The on loan Everton man, 26, has been largely frozen out of the team ever since Senol Gunes took over from Valerien Ismael.

The ex-Tottenham attacker has been restricted to just two sub appearances since October when the 70-year-old returned to the club as boss.

However, the 37-capped England international was handed an opportunity to impress recently in the Super Lig clash with Alanyaspor.

And Alli took his chance with both hands to leave fans raving about his goalscoring display.

Since then he has featured a further three times – but the most recent was in the goalless draw with Antalyaspor on February 26 when he was hooked at the break.

And now a fresh report has claimed that it could be his final game for Besiktas.

Turkish outlet Takvim states that Gunes will not include him in any matchday squads for the remainder of the season and that he has been told he will watch from the stands until he can return to Everton.

Alli has struggled in Turkey since joining Besiktas on loan in the summer.

After receiving a hero's welcome at the airport, Alli scored in just his second game for the club.

But he has struggled in recent months, and was booed off the pitch by Besiktas fans in December.

In total he has 13 appearances for the club and scored twice.

He remains under contract with Everton, who now have Sean Dyche in charge, until 2024.
