ERLING HAALAND has hilariously joked that Riyad Mahrez convinced him to join Manchester City.
Last year, a clip emerged of the pair partying in Mykonos during their summer breaks.
And Mahrez responded to the clip at the time with the comment: "Agent Mahrez on duty 🕵️🏻♂️😂😂😂."
He then quickly followed that up by adding: "(just having fun calm down 😂💙)."
Now 12 months on Haaland has penned a deal with Man City which will see him lead the line for Pep Guardiola's men next season.
And the Norwegian has confirmed that Mahrez did in fact speak to him last summer about coming to the Etihad.

Opening up about the meeting in his first Man City interview, Haaland said: "He told me to come to City and he was right about that!
"We talked and he said some good things about the club."
And Mahrez also had a bit of fun on social media.
He responded to the comments from last year which stated he was joking about being an "agent" trying to persuade Haaland, tweeting: "Or not.. 👀🕵️🏻♂️."

Haaland was officially unveiled as Man City's first signing of the summer on Monday morning – 19 years after his father Alf-Inge left the club.
Speaking about his decision to sign for City, the ex-Borussia Dortmund man said: "This is a proud day for me and my family.
"I have always watched City and have loved doing so in recent seasons. You can’t help but admire their style of play, it’s exciting and they create a lot of chances, which is perfect for a player like me.
“There are so many world-class players in this squad and Pep is one of the greatest managers of all time, so I believe I am in the right place to fulfill my ambitions.
“I want to score goals, win trophies, and improve as a footballer and I am confident I can do that here. This is a great move for me, and I can’t wait to get started in pre-season.”
