EVERTON have been charged for the pitch invasions which marred their crunch Premier League victory over Crystal Palace on May 19.
Fans raced onto the field at Goodison Park after the 3-2 victory over the Eagles guaranteed their top-flight survival.
One individual then got into an angry altercation with Palace manager Patrick Vieira.
The former Arsenal superstar was walking across Everton’s pitch when he was confronted by a goading home supporter.
Ahd he ended up knocking the fan to the ground.
In video footage that emerged of the incident, the Everton fan appeared to say to Vieira: “Suck on that you muppet, get in! F*** off!”

The fan could also be seen putting his middle finger up at the Palace boss before Vieira grabbed him and kicked him to the ground.
Merseyside police confirmed that the Frenchman would not face any action.
And the Football Association also later confirmed that they would not be investigating.
However, the FA have now announced today that the Merseyside club had been charged with two breaches of its rules.

A statement from the governing body read: “It is alleged that in the 84th minute and then following completion of the fixture, Everton FC failed to ensure that its spectators, and all persons purporting to be its supporters or followers, conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refrained from using threatening and/or violent behaviour whilst encroaching onto the pitch area.”
The FA said Everton had until next Monday – July 18 – to respond to the charges.
Similar charges have been issued against Huddersfield and Bristol Rovers after end-of-season incidents.
