EVERTON have rejected an offer from Tottenham to restructure their Dele Alli transfer deal.
Spurs' proposal would have seen the Toffees pay less for the former England international.
Alli joined Everton on an initial free transfer in January 2022 with the deal including a range of performance-based add-ons.
Those additional fees included £10million once Alli played 20 matches for his new club.
However, he has yet to reach that tally ahead of his contract expiring in the summer, playing just 13 times for Everton.
According to The Times, Spurs approached Everton in a bid to avoid losing out on a fee for Alli.

Tottenham are said to have offered a reduced £8million fee as well as a reduced number of appearances needed to trigger the clause.
Whilst this would mean the Toffees have to pay less, it also increases the likelihood of them needing to pay Spurs for Alli.
Although the report adds that Everton knocked back the cheaper deal, both clubs are said to be open to further talks.
Alli, who spent last season on loan at Besiktas, has yet to be included in a matchday squad so far this term.

Instead, he is continuing his recovery from a groin injury which has ruled him out since March.
The 27-year-old is nearing a return, though, with the hope he will make a comeback in the new year now he is back in training.
During the summer, Alli bravely opened up about the trauma he suffered as a child, including being sexually abused by a friend of his mum aged six.
He also detailed how he dealt drugs aged eight, spent time in rehab and developed an addiction to sleeping pills.
The midfielder's story prompted an outpouring of support from fans, with Everton supporters displaying a banner in his honour earlier this season.
