BEN FOSTER has confirmed that he has signed a new one-year contract to stay at Wrexham while out at a golf course.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper came out of retirement last season to join the Welsh side following an injury to stopper Rob Lainton.
Foster, 40, was able to help the Red Dragons clinch promotion out of the National League and back into the Football League for the first time since 2008.
The contract will see Foster, who also has had spells with Watford, West Brom and Birmingham City, continue with the club in League Two.
Foster posted a Twitter video of himself on a golf course in which he addressed the Wrexham fans and revealed he had signed a new contract
He also insisted the club is targeting promotion to League One on the first attempt.

He told club media: "At the end of last season it was obvious that I enjoyed being at the Club, I loved being part of the team and everything that Wrexham stands for.
"The fans took to me so warmly, Phil Parkinson is brilliant, Steve Parkin is top class, I love Aidan Davison to bits, and the Co-Chairmen are out of this world.
"I’d decided before the end of last season I wanted to do it, because it feels like home. I’ve never joined a football club and felt at ease so quickly."
