SCOTT MCTOMINAY somehow escaped a red card for a horror challenge on Moises Caicedo at Old Trafford.
The Manchester United star was booked for a studs-up lunge on the Brighton midfielder.
McTominay did get a foot on the ball as he made the tackle – but a nasty follow through saw him make contact with Caicedo.
The Seagulls ace was left in a heap on the floor after being on the wrong end of the challenge.
VAR decided referee Paul Tierney had not made a clear and obvious error by only brandishing a yellow card.
But fans on social media have been left baffled as to how the United midfielder was not sent off.

A Pascal Gross double saw Erik ten Hag's side head into the break two goals down.
Brighton fans mercilessly trolled the Red Devils with chants of "You're going down with the Palace" from the away end.
And it could have been worse for the Dutchman if McTominay had seen red for his rash challenge.
