Fans all saying same thing as Said Benrahma spotted making bizarre rule breach in middle of West Ham clash at Liverpool | The Sun

EAGLE-EYED fans noticed West Ham star Said Benrahma bizarrely breaking an IFAB rule against Liverpool.

The winger was brought on just after the hour mark at Anfield but could not prevent his side from losing 1-0.

He even tried to give himself an advantage by breaking a law of the game all players must abide by – even at grass roots level.

Many, including the match officials, missed what Benrahma did – but some fans on social media were not fooled.

Around the 75th-minute mark the Algerian appeared to reach into his socks and took out his shinpads, continuing the rest of the match without them.

IFAB law 4.2 states: "Shin guards – these must be made of a suitable material to provide reasonable protection and covered by the socks.

"A player whose footwear or shinguard is lost accidentally must replace it as soon as possible and no later than when the ball next goes out of play; if before doing so the player plays the ball and/or scores a goal, the goal is awarded."

Naturally, fans were quick to question Benrahma's actions, though some did find it amusing.

One supporter wrote: "Benrahma should get fined cuz he ain't wearing shin pads tbf."

Another added, tongue in cheek: "Benrahma took his shinpads off give him a 15-match ban immediately.
