FANS were left baffled by a goal kick routine in the Brazilian Serie A this weekend.
The howler took place during a match between Cortiba and Palmeiras on Sunday evening.
Cortiba keeper Gabriel Vasconcelos went to take the goal kick with his two centre-backs either side of the six yard box.
The keeper then waved his players forward as if he was going to kick the ball long.
But there appeared to be a routine in place with the centre-halves then sprinting back to offer a short passing option again as soon as they reached the edge of their area.
Vasconcelos appeared to have forgotten the next part of the routine as he then pinged the ball out of play for a Palmeiras throw-in.

The keeper in question, Vasconcelos, is a name familiar to European football fans given that he used to play for AC Milan.
He would go on to play for Empoli and various Italian sides during his journeyman career.
Cortiba fans will be used to things going wrong this season with the club sitting second bottom of the table.
They are 11 points off safety with 11 games to go in the Brazilian Serie A and look a dead cert to go down.
