Fans say Arsenal 'have no shame' as they notice 'cringe copy' of Man City feature on dressing room wall | The Sun

ARSENAL have been labelled a “cringe version” of Manchester City after eagle-eyed fans spotted something at their training ground.

The Gunners completed the signing of David Raya on loan from Brentford this week, with boss Mikel Arteta instantly endearing himself to the goalkeeper’s model girlfriend.

The North London side then provided an insight into their London Colney HQ with clips and snaps from the Spaniard’s official unveiling.

However, City supporters soon realised a striking similarity.

A Jack Grealish Instagram post from last season revealed that the Cityzens had an image of the Champions League trophy on the wall of their training ground.

The image of the silverware, which Pep Guardiola’s side went on to lift last term, was accompanied by words that read: “Our Goal”.

But it seems that Arteta, who previously worked as assistant to Guardiola at City, has copied that motivational technique at Arsenal.

Fans quickly spotted that through the window of Arteta and Edu's office are images of the FA Cup, the Premier League and the Champions League trophies.

And that soon led to claims from City supporters that Arsenal “want to be them”.

One fan declared: “They have no shame.”

Another claimed: “Arsenal will always try to copy City because of Arteta.”

While another tweeted: “They're a cringe version of us.”

Defending champions Manchester City kicked off their defence with a 3-0 win at Burnley on Friday.

That was followed by last season’s runners-up Arsenal beating Nottingham Forest 2-1.

The Cityzens, who won the Uefa Super Cup on penalties last night against Sevilla, face Newcastle at home on Saturday while the Gunners travel to Crystal palace on Monday.
