The woman, 37, was transported to Bordeaux's University hospital as police continue their search for the three men.
The horror attack allegedly happened around midnight on Rue de la Rousselle in central Bordeaux, near where the woman was staying.
She said she was dragged into an alleyway and attacked, as residents called police.
The three men fled the scene, leaving the woman lying down and traumatised, according to police.
