Harry Kane 'still wants Man Utd transfer this summer if Spurs lower £100m price, as Red Devils move on to new target' | The Sun

HARRY KANE reportedly “still wants” a move to Manchester United but needs Tottenham to lower their £100million price tag.

The striker overtook Wayne Rooney to become the second-highest Premier League goalscorer last season.

The England captain, who is also our country’s all-time top marksman, has also secured his place as Spurs’ record scorer.

But it has been another year of disappointment Kane at club level and he is still yet to win a trophy during his incredible career.

He only has a year left on his contract with Manchester United making him one of their top summer transfer targets.

However, the chances of the star becoming a Red Devil depend on Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s stance softening.

The Daily Mail claims that Erik ten Hag’s side have ended their pursuit of Kane for now but Levy could reignite their interest by dropping his asking price to £80m.

And it adds that “Kane's clear preference is United and he hopes that Levy will relent” over the coming weeks.

Despite having other targets such as Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund in mind, Ten Hag would prefer a proven Premier League striker to bolster his attack.

And Kane fits that bill perfectly, although they could face competition for his signature from elsewhere.

A shock link appeared this week that claimed his ex-Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino was plotting a reunion with the ace at Chelsea.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi is also “pushing” to bring the hotshot to Parc des Princes.

Levy has also reportedly made it clear that he does not want to flog Kane to another Premier League side with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich also circling.
