MANCHESTER UNITED legend Paul Parker has blasted Harry Maguire, claiming he would be a TERRIBLE signing for both Tottenham and Newcastle.
The Red Devils centre-back is not wanted by boss Erik ten Hag and looks to be on the way out of Old Trafford.
Spurs and Newcastle have both been linked with a move for the England defender, but former Three Lions ace Parker warned both clubs to stay away.
He claimed Maguire is no better than Eric Dier and that new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou “won’t achieve anything” if he buys the Man United outcast.
Parker said: “Could he do a great job at Newcastle? Not at all.
“Could he improve Tottenham? Absolutely not. Tottenham need a centre half that is better than Eric Dier and that’s not Harry Maguire.

“They might be on the same level but as a club you won’t achieve anything with either of them.
“I would be absolutely shocked if he goes to Tottenham and I would be even more shocked if he goes to Newcastle.”
Maguire is mates with Spurs striker Harry Kane from playing together with England.
But speaking to BonusCodeBets, Parker added: “The story about Harry Kane’s and Harry Maguire’s friendship doesn’t mean anything.

“I should have said, when I was playing, that I was best friends with Diego Maradona and then I could have moved to Napoli.
“If a friendship is a reason why he wants to go to Tottenham, that is absolutely rubbish.
“So if Harry Kane ends up at Man United does it then mean that Maguire is going to stay because they are good friends? Oh God no, that’s not the way it works.”
