'He got robbed of his ankles' – Watch as Casemiro is 'schooled' with embarrassing nutmeg on full Man Utd debut | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED’S star Casemiro went viral for all the wrong reasons on his full debut for the club in the Europa League yesterday.

The Brazilian signed an eye-watering £350k contract as the Red Devils snapped him up for £70m from Real Madrid last month.

He is the third-highest earner at the club behind Cristiano Ronaldo and David De Gea following this transfer window.

Casemiro arrives at Old Trafford with a huge pedigree after spending eight years at Madrid.

He scooped 18 major trophies during that period – including five Champions League titles – while also chipping in with 31 goals in 336 games.

Despite that, the 30-year-old had been restricted to just three appearances from the bench in the Premier League so far.

However, boss Erik ten Hag did hand the midfielder his first start in last night’s defeat to Real Sociedad on a sombre night at Old Trafford.

It was an evening to forget for Casemiro as Brais Mendez’s penalty proved to be the difference between the two sides.

But it was not only the result that left Casemiro red-faced.

The South American was on the receiving end of a brutal back-heeled nutmeg courtesy of Sociedad’s left-back Aihen Munoz during the clash.
