TEMPLEGATE tackles Saturday's racing confident finding more than his fair share of winners.
Read on for our man's tips and back a horse by clicking their odds below.
MONBEG GENIUS (3.35 Ayr, nap)
The Jonjo O’Neill stayer was an excellent third to Grand National hero Corach Rambler at Cheltenham and has more to offer. This marathon distance should hold no fears.
CITY CHIEF (1.50 Ayr, nb)
He is progressing nicely for Nicky Henderson with good wins in his last two chase outings. The most recent was a smooth success in a Wetherby Grade 2 contest and he returns to handicap level from a fair mark. The yard won this last year and can follow up.
KNIGHT (2.40 Newbury, treble)
He created a good impression when winning the Group 3 Horris Hill Stakes here in October. He travelled beautifully despite the soft ground and had plenty left crossing the line. The Crisfords should have him ready to go well on this comeback and he’s better value than Chaldean who could be pretty short in the betting.

Elixir De Nutz struggled in the Grand Annual last time but earlier went close in a Newbury Grade 2.
He is still 8lb higher than his last win but has an each-way shout. Malystic is only 2lb higher than his Doncaster success in January so could put a couple of modest runs behind him.

HURRICANE LANE was third in the Derby, won the St Leger and went close in the Arc as a three-year-old so it was a surprise that he was beaten on both outings last season before he picked up an injury on fast ground in France.
This is a major drop in class and he should relish the bit of cut in the ground. His quality can see him home in front.
Max Vega won this race 12 months ago and returned in October to win the Group 3 St Simon Stakes.
More rain would enhance his chances but we know trip and track are ideal. His trainer Ralph Beckett also has a fair chance with Lone Eagle.

This is clearly a real hike in class but she’s nicely bred with a lot more to offer.
Frankie rides the other Gosden runner Soul Sister who was very green when winning over a mile on debut at Doncaster. A longer trip would be ideal but keep an eye on her.
