ERIK TEN HAG kicked off his Manchester United tenure with a bang thanks to a 4-0 thrashing over Liverpool in Bangkok.
The win sent Red Devils fans into meltdown with some believing Ten Hag could finally be the man to bring the glory days back to Old Trafford.
Goals from Jadon Sancho, Fred, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri in Bangkok had United fans in dreamland.
And while the hilarious light up trophy Ten Hag collected after the win doesn't really count, there is growing excitement that the Dutchman could lead the club to major honours.
But a lot can change – especially after one game – as a number of United's failed recent bosses have found out.
Here SunSport take a look at how Old Trafford gaffers have fared on their debuts in the post Sir Alex Ferguson era.

David Moyes
For Moyes even the start was a shambles.
His first game in charge of the Red Devils was a 1-0 defeat to a Thai All-Star team on July 13, 2013.
Moyes would not even last long enough in the job to see the start of the next pre-season, and was sacked in April 2014 less than 12 months into his mega six-year contract at Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal
The first game of the Van Gaal era was a thumping 7-0 win over LA Galaxy in 2014 pre-season.

The Red Devils in fact would win all seven pre-season clashes, giving fans hope that the shocking Moyes tenure was just a blip.
But it was not to be, and although Van Gaal did lead United to FA Cup glory the following season he was sacked just days later, ending a turbulent time in the hot-seat.
Jose Mourinho
Another one who kicked off their time in the dugout with a win, Mourinho guided the Red Devils to a 2-0 victory over Wigan in July 2016.
He helped United lift the League Cup and Europa League in 2017, which remain the last major trophies lifted by the club.
But seven wins in 17 games to start the 2018-19 campaign saw him get the boot, and even the Special One could not break United's Premier League drought.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
The first of the United managers since Fergie to take over in the middle of a campaign, Solskjaer initially got the caretaker job after Mourinho was axed in December 2019.
A 5-1 win over Cardiff in his debut match in charge was the first time United had scored five since Ferguson's last game as boss.
Solskjaer's impressive management initially saw him handed the job permanently in March 2010.
But he was sacked in November 2021 after 17 points from 12 games to start the campaign and zero trophies in two-years in charge.
Ralf Rangnick
Rangnick picked up the baton from Solskjaer on an interim basis, via Michael Carrick's three-game tenure as caretaker.
