TIMO WERNER could provide Manchester United with multiple options should he join the club.
The German striker has been tipped to make a January switch to Old Trafford to help solve Erik ten Hag's goalscoring problems.
Werner, 27, does have experience in the Premier League, however, he was largely judged to have flopped at Chelsea.
Man United did splash out £72million in the summer on Rasmus Hojlund but he is yet to find the net in the Premier League this season.
Meanwhile, other forwards Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Martial only grabbed their first goals of the season against Everton on Sunday.
Marcus Rashford has also struggled this season with only two goals in all competitions.

Werner would provide competition on both the wing and as a central option in the frontline.
He scored 23 goals in 80 matches for the Blues between 2020 and 2022.
If he was to arrive at Old Trafford in the coming transfer window Ten Hag could opt to play him on the wing in order to support Hojlund.
Werner could take up a spot on the right-wing, with Rashford in his normal position on the left.

Another option for the Dutch manager would be to drop Hojlund and play Werner through the middle.
This could see overhead kick-scoring Garnacho stay in the starting eleven on the right wing.
A third way that Ten Hag could line up is with two strikers.
He played a formation like this against Brighton, in which he packed the midfield with the likes of Casemiro and Mason Mount.
This style could see Werner and Hojlund play up top together in what might be a potentially prolific attack.
Werner was sold back to Leipzig in the summer of 2022 for £23.5m and he notched 16 goals in his 40 games.
But the attacker – who can play centrally or out wide – has scored just twice this term after 13 matches in all competitions.
The 27-year-old is believed to be unsettled again in the Bundesliga, leading to rumours of a return to the Premier League.
Werner is understood to be ready to see out the remainder of the season but the likes of West Ham and Fulham have also been linked.
