'I have got a bad feeling' – Man Utd legend Lou Macari hilariously goes off script on MUTV when discussing Adrien Rabiot | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED'S pursuit of Adrien Rabiot has drawn widespread criticism, but now even the club's own in-house pundits have turned on the signing.

Rabiot's representatives are reportedly in negotiations over personal terms with United chief John Murtough to get a deal done.

However, amid doubts over the quality of the player, United have come under serious fire from fans and pundits alike.

And now the club's own broadcasting personnel have openly called-out the transfer.

Lou Macari, a pundit on MUTV who played 145 times for United between 1973 and 1984 and won three trophies, expressed his doubt over the move.

As quoted by journalist Rich Fay, he said: "I'd never really heard of him.

Pundits on MUTV normally stay clear of anything controversial or that questions the club's decisions.

The Red Devils have reportedly agreed a £15million fee with Juventus to sign Rabiot – despite Macari's misgivings.

United have struggled in midfield for a long time, with Fred and Scott McTominay proving not to be up to standard – with the most recent evidence of this coming in the recent defeat to Brighton.

United looked set to remedy this at the start of summer with the addition of Frenkie de Jong, and agreed a fee with Barcelona to reunite him with Erik ten Hag.

But De Jong's reluctance to leave has forced United to look elsewhere, and despite his stats proving him to be WORSE than both Fred and McTominay, United's recruitment team have landed on Rabiot.

United could yet miss out on him however, with Rabiot's reported contract demands of £8.5m a year delaying a deal.
