CLIFF JONES has announced his pride at seeing his grandson return to Tottenham's coaching staff.
The Spurs legend was a key member of the team that helped the club to the Division One title in 1961.
The club also completed a double that season by beating Leicester City in the FA Cup final.
Jones' grandson Matt Wells was previously at Tottenham in his youth career.
Wells was also a coach for the under-18s and an assistant for the under-23s.
But now he has taken another step up as he has now been named as the deputy to caretaker boss Ryan Mason.

And Jones, 88, could not be prouder as he took to Twitter to show his joy at seeing his grandson back at the club.
He wrote: "So proud my grandson Matt Wells has returned to Spurs to assist Ryan Mason with first-team coaching.
"Let’s get behind their efforts to finish the season well & give our loyal supporters something to cheer about."
Jones is also one of the last surviving members of the Wales team that played at the World Cup in 1958.

Jones made 318 league appearances for Spurs between 1958 and 1968, scoring 135 goals.
During this time he built a fruitful partnership with former club top scorer Jimmy Greaves.
Mason has taken the role following the sacking of interim manager Cristian Stellini on Monday.
It is the second time the former Spurs midfielder has held the position after he took charge following Jose Mourinho's sacking in 2021.
The North London outfit currently sit sixth in the Premier League table following Aston Villa's win against Fulham.
However, Spurs and Mason have the chance to reclaim fifth place when they take on Manchester United on Thursday evening.
