IAN WRIGHT joked his achievement of scoring four goals in a game for Arsenal has been forgotten about because it came before the Premier League was invented.
The pundit appeared on Match of the Day and discussed Eddie Nketiah's hat-trick for the Gunners alongside Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.
And he joked his achievements in the game have been forgotten after Nketiah was told he missed out on an exclusive club – players to have scored four goals in a Prem game for Arsenal.
Thierry Henry and Andriy Arshavin have managed the feat; Wright has too but in the old First Division – not the Premier League.
He joked on MOTD: "I did score four goals but it was before football was invented."
Lineker responded in kind, saying: "At least you played in the Premier League! I don't exist!"

The presenter also hit four goals in a match once – for England in a 4-2 win over Spain at the Bernabeu in 1987.
Nketiah's goals were his first in ten Prem games, but he turned down the opportunity to join the prestigious four-goal club.
That is becasue he allowed Fabio Vieira to take a late penalty, which he scored to put Arsenal 4-0 up.
Shearer was shocked Nketiah did not take the chance to add his fourth with the Gunners striker saying he wanted to be a team player.
