I'm an ex-Man Utd star with £116m in career earnings and fans made banners for my dogs – now I'm unemployed at 34 | The Sun

FORMER Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez is still on the lookout for a new club following his release from Marseille.

The veteran forward scored 14 Ligue 1 goals last season but remains unemployed almost a month after leaving.

SunSport understands Sanchez is desperate for a Premier League return.

Arsenal were tipped to make an audacious swoop for their ex-striker.

Sanchez scored 80 goals during a three-and-a-half year spell in North London before joining the Red Devils in 2017.

He reportedly spoke to Mikel Arteta about a return but was knocked back by the Spaniard, who wants to build a young squad and chose to sign Kai Havertz instead.

It is believed Sanchez has garnered interest from PSG and Juventus.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian clubs are on standby, but Sanchez wants to play Champions League football if possible.

But if an offer is not forthcoming a big payday could await the 34-year-old, who has reportedly earned £116million during his 17-year football career.

He was very popular during his Arsenal stint and fans once created a special banner for him.

An Arsenal fan club created a banner featuring Sanchez alongside his two pet dogs, Atom and Humber.

Supporters also made a banner featuring Sanchez's dogs to help welcome him to the club.

Sanchez went on to have spells at Inter Milan and Barcelona but his time playing in elite European leagues may be over after leaving Marseille.
