Ireland record historic series win in New Zealand after 32-22 win over All Blacks in electric display in Wellington | The Sun

IRELAND secured a historic series win in New Zealand with a second straight victory over the All Blacks.

Andy Farrell's side became the first ever Irish team to win a series in New Zealand after a 32-22 victory.

Ireland had never beaten the All Blacks in a test match in New Zealand before last week's win.

And on the back of an electric first half display the visitors held off a second half rally from the home side to take a historic win.

Josh Van Der Flier got the visitors off to the perfect start when he touched down in the opening minutes of the game.

Hugo Keenan then went over for the game's second try after a well worked attack by Ireland.

And the visitors were in dreamland when Robbie Henshaw bagged a third try before half time to give Ireland a 22-3 lead at the break.

The hosts hit back straight after the restart with an early try from Ardie Savea.

Ireland were reduced to 14 when Andrew Porter was shown a yellow card and the hosts made it count early with Akira Ioane scoring another try.

And it was game on when Will Jordan burst through the Irish defence to bag an electrifying try for the home side.
