Jamie Vardy shows off tan lines after returning to Leicester pre-season following summer break with wife Rebekah | The Sun

JAMIE VARDY showed off his tan lines as Leicester City returned to pre-season training.

Vardy, 35 and wife Rebekah have been away for the summer against a backdrop of the infamous Wagatha Christie trial.

40-year-old Rebekah revealed family holiday snaps on Instagram from a stunning idyllic island.

And Vardy could be seen showing off his white bits on Monday as the Foxes start the 2022-23 season.

Messing around during medical tests in the gym, the striker exposed his thighs as someone in the background can be heard laughing.

Brendan Rodgers' team will be eager to build on last season's eighth place finish as they look to get themselves back into the top six.

In May, Leicester's hopes of a first-ever European final ended in heartbreak as Tammy Abraham's goal put Jose Mourinho's Roma through.

Vardy has stayed out of the limelight in recent months, as the legal battle between wife Rebekah and Wayne Rooney’s partner Coleen  rolled on.

He made one appearance in court which he dutifully held his wife’s hand and escorted her to and from the courtroom.

The ex-Manchester United captain Rooney claimed during the hearings that he had sat down with Vardy during Euro 2016 to try and get Rebekah to "calm down".

He said: "They asked me, as captain, would I be able to speak to Mr Vardy on issues regarding his wife.

"It was an awkward situation for me and I'm sure it was an awkward situation for Mr Vardy, but I felt it was in the best interests of the team."

But Vardy denied the conversation even took place.

In a statement outside the High Court, he said: "Wayne is talking nonsense.

"He must be confused because he never spoke to me about issues concerning Becky's media work at Euro 2016.

"There was nothing to speak about, I know this because I discuss everything with Becky."
