ARSENAL are in the running to sign Arthur Melo with Juventus desperate to offload the midfielder, reports claim.
The Italians want to get rid of the 25-year-old to help them lighten their wage bill ahead of the new season.
And following the return of Arsenal's interest in the player, who they failed to land in January, the Old Lady are pushing for a deal.
The Brazilian has even been left out of the squad's pre-season tour so they can try to push a move through, according to La Republicca.
Another Italian outlet, Tutto Juve, has backed this up by saying the Bianconeri are even willing to allow him to leave on loan.
The return of Paul Pogba has also seen Arthur's place in the squad pushed down further.

It was reported earlier this week Mikel Arteta still wanted to sign a central midfielder.
Pep Guardiola's former assistant has already been allowed to invest £35million to sign ex-Porto playmaker Fabio Vieira in that position.
However, Arteta wants more midfield recruits and retains a large interest in Leicester City star Youri Tielemans, who The Gunners have been extensively linked with throughout the summer.
Although frustration on that front has led them back to Turin to look at Arthur again.

When Arsenal lost the services of midfield general Thomas Partey in the run-in last season, they suffered the consequences and ultimately lost out on the top four to bitter rivals Tottenham.
Arteta is now looking to address the lack of depth in his team in order to push for a Champions League spot and return to European football's elite competition for the first time in six years.
The arrivals of Man City duo Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko – who has been pictured on the club's tour despite not being officially announced – will certainly improve the quality of the squad.
Jesus in particular has hit the ground running with a bright start to pre-season.
Further backing from the Arsenal hierarchy on transfers will only serve to increase the pressure on Arteta going into the new season, which Arsenal fan Dave Seager welcomes.
