KAI HAVERTZ could be playing in a new position under Mikel Arteta when he completes his move to Arsenal.
The Gunners have all but secured the signing of Havertz with a fee of around £65million said to have been agreed.
The 24-year-old could be playing in a different position under his new boss at the Emirates Stadium.
According to The Athletic, Havertz could be seen as a replacement for Granit Xhaka in the left-side No 8 position.
Xhaka had his best campaign in an Arsenal shirt last season scoring seven goals and registering seven assists in the Premier League.
But the Swiss midfielder is likely to leave with a move to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen on the cards.

Havertz is reportedly seen as a replacement in this position and would play alongside star man Martin Odegaard in middle of the park.
Havertz previously played as a No 10 when he began his career in Germany, but has since been deployed as a striker for Chelsea and the German national team.
Arteta has reportedly been a huge draw for the 24-year-old and there is excitement among fans that the Spanish manager can get the most out of him in an Arsenal shirt.
The Gunners are also looking to strengthen in other positions with Declan Rice being identified as a top target.
