MANCHESTER UNITED could still miss out on Adrien Rabiot as the Juventus midfielder is reportedly considering staying in Italy for one more season.
The Red Devils have had a £15million transfer fee accepted by the Serie A giants – which could rise to £20m with add-ons.
But the deal is being held up as Man Utd have not been able to agree personal terms with the Frenchman.
According to Gazzetta, the player is holding out for £8.4m per season in wages.
The struggle to get the move over the line will concern Man Utd as they have already been dealing with the Frenkie de Jong saga all summer.
And there are now reports that Rabiot could opt to stay at Juventus for one more year and leave on a free next summer.

The former Paris Saint-Germain star will see his contract expire at the end of the 2022/23 season.
And letting his deal run to completion could put him in a stronger negotiating position when it comes to securing a higher salary packet at his next club.
Rabiot is yet to answer any of United's personal term offers in a "clear way".
It is a transfer which threatens to run and run despite statistics showing he is not the answer to Erik ten Hag's problems.

United were beaten 2-1 at home by Brighton on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
And their midfield pair of Scott McTominay and Fred were criticised for their performances.
However, data from the previous two campaigns shows that Rabiot has had less of an impact at Juventus than McTominay and Fred have had at Old Trafford.
He has managed fewer goals, chances created, passes, touches and possessions won since September 2020.
They are damning statistics which prove why United supporters are concerned by his arrival at the club – should personal terms be agreed.
