MANCHESTER UNITED fans reacted in a surprising way to Marcus Rashford being substituted off against Crystal Palace.
Erik ten Hag hooked Rashford in the 77th minute of the match with United chasing the game.
However, while Rashford is considered by many to be the club's talisman, Red Devils fans were angrier that the sub had not come sooner.
Rashford had endured a difficult game against the Eagles, whom United had beaten 3-0 in their midweek League Cup clash.
But this time around they could not repeat the trick as Palace escaped Old Trafford with the three points in a smash-and-grab 1-0 win.
When the England star was subbed, the Old Trafford crowd were audibly indifferent, when usually you would expect them to boo the move.
