Man Utd launch THIRD and 'final' Mason Mount transfer bid after agreeing personal terms with Chelsea midfielder | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED have launched a third and "final" £55million bid for Mason Mount, according to reports.

The Chelsea midfielder is already believed to have agreed personal terms with the Red Devils.

Mount, 24, has a year remaining on his Blues contract and has no intention of penning an extension.

Man United had a second bid for the England ace worth £45m plus a further £5m in add-ons turned down.

The Red Devils have now submitted a third offer understood to be worth up to £55m.

Chelsea are believed to be coveting £60m upfront with a further £7m in add-ons.

But with the Blues now willing to cash in on their two-time Player of the Year, a compromise is expected to be reached.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Man United's latest £55m bid will be their "final" offer.

The Red Devils are keen to avoid a long drawn-out saga.

And they are claimed to have agreed a deal worth around £200,000 a week with the Chelsea star.

Mount has made 195 first-team appearances for Chelsea since bursting onto the scene under Frank Lampard.

He has since played an integral role in winning the Champions League in 2021, while he has also worn the captain's armband on sporadic occasions.

The attacking midfielder has scored 33 goals for the West Londoners, also laying on 37 assists.

Mount missed most of the final two months of last season with a pelvis injury.

Chelsea have already lost midfielder N'Golo Kante to Al-Ittihad this summer, while Mateo Kovacic is on the brink of joining Manchester City in a £30m deal.

Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziyech and Kalidou Koulibaly are all expected to move to Saudi Arabia.
