    United ideal for Jude

Louis Saha reckons Man Utd are perfectly placed to sign Jude Bellingham this summer.

He told Betfred: "There’s grounds for a young talent like Jude Bellingham to sit in the midfield, really enjoy the game alongside Casemiro and learn a lot. This team is unbelievable to look at, at the moment.

“Jude’s technical ability, his directness and his energy levels indicate that he has the potential to be the best number eight in Europe.

"He’s a huge prospect and his price tag is enormous because he’s so young, but he needs to keep performing the way he has been for Borussia Dortmund.

"He’s going to be at the top of the list for every big club, so I hope he doesn’t focus on how big his contract will be or how the structure of his contract is set up. His football should be his main concern at the moment."

    Business as usual for Erik

Erik ten Hag has told his players to get straight back to work and forget about Carabao Cup celebrations.

He said: “Of course, yesterday the players were still enthusiastic and they had to celebrate this moment, but after we settled down, we got back to work and did what we had to do, which was recovery.

"Let's make myself clear: we didn't win it with 11 players, we did win with a squad and I think the squad during the whole season is so important.

“Every time players come in whether it's for a whole game or minutes, I can count on them and know they will be ready.

“Every time they play they take responsibility and it's about that and you also have to fight for your position. These are great months and great games are ahead of us.”

    De Gea tribute from teammates

Man Utd stars pay tribute to David De Gea after winning the Carabao Cup.

The Red Devils took a plane home after beating Newcastle in London.

And De Gea was presented with a special jersey bearing the number 181.

That's because United's 2-0 win was his 181st clean sheet for the club, overtaking Peter Schmeichel's record of 180.

    Glazers' demands 'hits United shares'

Man Utd's share prices have reportedly collapsed.

That's because there's a feeling the Glazers will NOT sell the club.

New analysis reckons the Red Devils are worth just £1.3bn – way off the Glazers' incredible £6bn valuation.

And the Financial Times says United's shares have now dipped by a massive 10 per cent, with the Glazers also considering just minority investment after receiving takeover bid well below their target price.

    Maguire content with bench role

Man Utd captain Harry Maguire holds no hard feelings about dropping down to the bench.

He said: “Rapha is playing really well and the manager does like a left-footed centre-back playing, so it’s high competition for places.

“This is Manchester United. We want to win trophies, and big trophies, and to do that you need competition for places.

“The manager speaks to me daily and he really respects me and believes that I am a top centre-half with all the attributes to play in his team.

“But also, he understands that the players who are playing are playing very well — and I understand that, too.”

    Scholes 'tough opponent than Keane'

Emmanuel Petit reckons Paul Scholes was the real hard man of Man Utd, NOT Roy Keane.

He told Premier League Odds: "Roy Keane wasn't my toughest opponent – you should probably ask that question to Patrick Viera!

"My toughest opponent was Paul Scholes. When we were fighting for the trophy with Manchester United, Paul Scholes was the fiercest competitor on the pitch.

"Always the first person to go for the ball and give you a tackle. Me and Patrick Viera also kept a close eye on Paul Scholes – he was a magician."

    Fergie gives United transfer hint

Sir Alex Ferguson has told Manchester United they need to buy a striker to support Marcus Rashford.

Fergie said: I don’t think he’s a striker, he operates really from the left-hand side.

"But fantastic. His finishing is always good. He always keeps his shots down, which is really important for a striker.

"He’s in a great vein of form and unfortunately for us he’s the main source of goals. We could do with an extra one, you know. But he’s doing it for us."

    Good morning Man Utd fans

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has written an open letter to fans after winning the Carabao Cup.

It reads: “When I arrived at the club, we spoke about the challenge and importance of reuniting this group of players with our amazing fans.

“Believe me, this squad knows exactly how important you are.

“The bond between the supporters and the team is there for everyone to see and what we experienced together yesterday will only further strengthen that bond.

“The atmosphere generated by those of you at Wembley was incredible.

“I am proud of my players and staff for their preparation and performances. Yesterday, we saw the required desire, spirit and determination that we must demand of everyone who represents Manchester United.

“We set ourselves high standards every day. At Wembley we met those demands and got the reward of our first trophy together.

“We know the importance of silverware throughout the history of this great club. We are so happy to bring the trophy back to Old Trafford but we are by no means satisfied and we will not stop here.

“Together we have experienced the feeling of what it means to win together for Manchester United. It is truly magnificent and will only make each of us hungrier for more success.”

Meanwhile, Man Utd star Casemiro has compared his hunger to win the ball back to him going after food.

He told Brazilian media: “People who already know me understand I go after the ball as if it’s a plate of food.

“This is my character, that didn’t happen because it was a final or whatever. I attack every ball as if it was the last one.

“I celebrate like this because I’m enjoying it here. I left a great club, came to England and people wondered why. Moments like these are the answer.

“We all know this is only the beginning, but it doesn’t mean we can’t be happy.

“It’s one more trophy for me and I always welcome it, regardless of the competition.”

    Back in Business

PSG and France superstar Kylian Mbappe sent Man Utd ace Jadon Sancho a heartwarming message following yesterday's Wembley win.

The Red Devils claimed their first trophy since 2017 by defeating Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.

Erik ten Hag's men beat Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley with goals coming from main men Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.

Sancho, 22, was a late substitute for Man Utd, replacing Antony in the 83rd minute.

The winger had just returned to action after taking a break from football to work on his physical and mental fitness.

His comeback has drawn some of football's biggest stars to his Instagram comments section to congratulate him on winning the domestic cup.

PSG star Mbappe said: "Good to see you with a smile."

    Morrison dropped by Rooney

Ravel Morrison was dropped from the DC United squad for their opening day of the season win against Toronto.

The ex-United youngster may have been frozen out of the squad and was not even on the bench.

Rooney explained he wanted to choose other players that can play in different positions and with the cap on expensive overage players, Morrison's days in America could be numbered.

    United keen on Kane

Man Utd have an "active interest" in Harry Kane, according to reports.

The club are likely to want a big money striker in the summer with Wout Weghorst not firing them home.

Kane is supposedly in talks with Tottenham over a new contract but United may try to tempt him away.

The fee could potentially put off Man Utd and it's unclear whether the striker would want the move.

    Spooky coincidence means treble?

The United faithful believe a remarkable coincidence could be a sign they are set to win another treble.

After Carabao Cup success, they are in the FA Cup versus West Ham on Wednesday and they also remain in the hunt for Europa League glory with Real Betis next up.

Also, they are in with an outside chance of winning the Premier League title, albeit while sitting eight points adrift of table toppers Arsenal.

Man Utd's 1999 side claimed the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

In the FA Cup final, they beat Newcastle 2-0 thanks to goals from No10 Teddy Sheringham and No18 Paul Scholes.

And on Sunday, they beat Newcastle 2-0 in another final as No18 Casemiro gave them the lead before No10 Marcus Rashford doubled their advantage with his deflected strike.

It is this stark similarity that has left United fans believing two more trophies could be on the way before the end of the campaign.

    Main Man

United fans have hailed Erik ten Hag after he took the time to give teenager Kobbie Mainoo a pep talk during their Carabao Cup celebrations.

The Dutchman was keen to ensure every member of his squad felt a part of Sunday's triumph.

This was typified by his chat with 17-year-old Mainoo – who has made one start for Man Utd this season.

The former Ajax head coach walked over to the teenager and had a brief chat with him.

And it left Mainoo with a beaming smile on his face as United supporters hailed the manager's style.

Reacting on social media, one person said: "Love this man more every day".

Another added: "Look at this… teaching the next generation. He can enjoy the now, but he has his eye on the future. We have a very special manager on our hands here."

    Raph Edges

Barcelona star Raphinha suffered a bizarre injury after kicking a FRIDGE following the club's Europa League clash with Manchester United.

Man Utd and Barcelona played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp.

Despite the 26-year-old being a danger throughout, contributing a goal and assist in the game, he was subbed off in the 82nd minute.

Raphinha was visibly frustrated at his withdrawal, and was seen punching Marcos Alonso's seat on the bench.

According to Mundo Deportivo, he also kicked out at a FRIDGE that was storing water, but has been made to regret his outburst against the appliance as he suffered a knee injury for his troubles.

Indeed, the injury left the Brazilian unable to start the weekend fixture against Cadiz.

    Prem giants want Viega

Arsenal have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga.

The 20-year-old is currently enjoying a breakthrough season in La Liga with six goals and two assists in 21 games.

Veiga became a permanent member of the first team in January after spending the first half of the season without a squad number.

Celta Vigo are said to be reluctant to let him go, however, club chiefs are confident that they will be able to sell him for a record fee should he decide to leave.

Viega is expected to be handed his first senior cap by Spain soon due to his outstanding performances and big potential.

The 27-year-old has just entered the last 18 months of his contract at Brentford and he refused to rule out leaving the club.

Raya spoke to The Athletic saying: "I turned down two contracts, one last year and one this January.

"They weren't the offers we were looking for. I can only say that.

"I have a contract here, so I'm willing to finish that, but you never know what's going to happen in the summer.

"Maybe the club wants to sell, maybe not. Maybe I want to stay. I want to focus on football and see what happens."

    Suit Booted

Man Utd ditched their sponsored Carabao Cup final suits — because it would take the players too long to get changed.

Boss Erik ten Hag was unhappy at his tight pre-match schedule being altered.

He did not want the Paul Smith-sponsored outfits being worn on arrival at Wembley, as players would then need to change into training gear for their pre-match walkabout on the pitch.

The players were expected to wear their club suits when they arrived at the national stadium.

After all Paul Smith is a sponsor and this was a stage to show off their outfits as the players disembarked their team bus which had to travel about 250 yards from their Novotel base.

But Ten Hag didn’t like the idea so rang up a club official.

The official was on the other side of the world and asleep but took the call and listened to the manager’s concerns.

By wearing the club suits, he explained, rather than their training kit, it would take an extra ten minutes out their schedule.

Keane jokes Ten Hag must RESIGN

Roy Keane has told Erik ten Hag he should RESIGN as Manchester United manager.

That’s after the Dutchman broke his golden rule while celebrating Sunday’s Carabao Cup win.

That’s by DANCING on the pitch with Antony and Lisandro Martinez.

Keane is not a fan of busting out moves in football, having criticised Brazil boss Tite during the World Cup.

And after Ten Hag joined Sky Sports’ punditry team to deliver his post-match thoughts, Keane hilariously declared: “You should resign after that! You should resign tonight!”
