HARRY MAGUIRE looks likely to leave Manchester United this summer and could be on his way to join an old friend.
The 30-year-old's time at Old Trafford looks to be nearing its end after he was stripped of his role as club captain by Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils have already knocked back a bid for the England International from West Ham, who have since tabled an improved proposal.
But the Hammers could face competition for Maguire's signature with reports suggesting Everton are also keen on bringing in the centre-back.
According to The Independent, the Merseyside club are weighing up a move that would see Maguire united with"'best mate" and England team-mate Jordan Pickford.
The Toffees shot-stopper highlighted the pair's strong relationship in an interview with EnglandFootball earlier this year.

He said: "Harry is one of my best mates in football and I have played with him throughout my England career so far."
The move could see a swap deal in place with United reportedly interested in signing Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, who impressed at Goodison Park last season.
Maguire has been a mainstay in the England squad under the management of Gareth Southgate, but has failed to recreate his International form at club level.
The towering defender has had a torrid time during Man Utd's pre-season tour which has seen him berated by both his team-mates and fans.
