HARRY MAGUIRE has been given a £6million pay-off to leave Manchester United.
Maguire had two years left on his £190,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford.
But he is taking a wage cut to move to West Ham – going down to £120,000 a week.
To help offset that, United have made the payment to their former captain as he completes a £30million move to The Hammers.
The 30-year-old finally accepted his time was up at United after having the captaincy taken off him and handed to Bruno Fernandes.
That hurt Maguire, who was booed last weekend by fans in Dublin after his error gifted Athletic Bilbao an opener in United’s friendly there.

He had fallen well down the pecking order for a centre-back spot at Old Trafford and only made eight Premier League starts last season.
United boss Erik ten Hag had challenged Maguire to stay and fight for his place.
But he also needs to offload some players after spending big this summer with the aim to get one more new player in.
Maguire was encouraged to make the move after long talks with England team-mate Declan Rice who has recently left West Ham to join Arsenal.

A string of below-par performances last season threw Maguire's future at Old Trafford into doubt.
And the writing was well and truly on the wall last month when Ten Hag stripped him of the captaincy.
Maguire took his demotion on the chin and vowed to "continue to give my all every time I wear the shirt".
He said in a statement: "I wanted to say a massive thank you to the Manchester United fans for all their brilliant support whilst I’ve been wearing the armband.
"Since the day I took on the role, three and half years ago, it’s been a huge privilege to lead Manchester United and one of the proudest moments of my career to date.
"It’s one of the greatest honours in club football.
"I’ve done everything I possibly could to help United be successful – on and off the field.
"I will always be grateful to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for first giving me the responsibility and I wish whoever now takes it on every success and they will have my full support."
