MANCHESTER UNITED are to launch an improved bid for Chelsea's Mason Mount to more than £50million, according to reports.
The Blues have already rejected the Red Devils' opening offer of £40m for the England midfielder and so far have dug their heels in for nearer £80m.
TalkSPORT report that Manchester United will be improving on their initial bid.
And it's thought Liverpool have ducked out of the hunt for the 24-year-old, largely due to the potentially-massive fee.
The Stamford Bridge academy product is entering the last 12 months of his contract.
Mount has notched up 195 appearances for his boyhood club, providing 33 goals and 37 assists.

But talks over a new deal reportedly stuttered to a halt.
That's partly as Mount has played less in the disastrous short reigns of Graham Potter and interim chief Frank Lampard in the past campaign.
And he divides opinion amongst Chelsea fans.
Many love him for coming up through the ranks – on his way to 36 caps.

New Stamford Bridge boss Mauricio Pochettino has already been linked to new midfielders.
The latest name on that list is Southampton's Romeo Lavia.
But the one-cap Belgian, 19, is also said to be interesting the Red Devils.
